Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a one-on-one treatment approach in which the therapist utilizes therapeutic approaches and interventions to work on goals set during your initial intake appointment. Each therapeutic approach will be different depending on your therapist. To learn more about such approaches, please see the “About Us” section to ensure a good match for your treatment needs. Individual therapy usually occurs on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and lasts for 45-55 minutes.
Family Therapy
Family is our first introduction to ourselves, others, and the world. Family is not just the people and culture we are born to, but those that have helped us to feel loved, safe, and supported. Family is an important aspect of our identity, it tells us about how well we are doing, and sometimes navigating life with people we care about can be challenging. Family services are provided to support families that would like to strengthen communication, engagement, and connection with each other. Specific approaches will be dependent upon the therapist and the unique needs of the family. Family sessions usually occur on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and lasts for 45-60 minutes.
Parenting Empowerment & Reunification Services
Parenting is one of the most important jobs in the world. Parenting can be confusing, challenging, and rewarding. Services provided to parents will focus on empowerment to make healthy, safe, and culturally congruent choices for your children and the family through psychoeducation and evidenced-based intervention and support. Parent support services prioritize and celebrate the diversity of families from all backgrounds and parenting constellations. Parents who seek parent support or family reunification services will be involved in a 60-minute initial diagnostic intake assessment to determine the needs of the family and a 60-minute treatment plan follow up session to discuss the pathway towards family and parenting success and healing. For reunification services or families who are in the midst of custody and divorce proceedings, your provider will work closely with all involved parties (i.e., GAL’s, attorneys, teachers, courts) to ensure successful outcomes for the family and child(ren).
Consultation, Supervision, Workshops
At CWCF, collaboration and community are important values. Therefore, we provide a variety of multicultural consultation services, workshops, and presentations to the community and outside organizations. Past workshops and presentation themes have included: complex trauma, multicultural supervision and leadership, resiliency, child development and mentorship, teens and substance abuse, parenting approaches and techniques, and attachment.
Additionally, at CWCF, we value quality multicultural supervision and set high standards with tons of support for trainee’s seeking to enhance their clinical work with children and families.
